In all industries and job roles we have a responsibility to work legally and ethically, and this is especially true of support work. Working ethically means following a set of principles and standards that ensure the well-being, respect and dignity of those you are supporting. On the legal side, it means following the rules, keeping promises, respecting people and ideas and safeguarding data. In this course you will learn the skills and knowledge required to identify and work within the legal and ethical frameworks that apply to an individual job role. This course applies to community services and health workers who play a proactive role in identifying and meeting their legal and ethical responsibilities.

After completing this course, you will be able to:

  • identify and respond to legal requirements
  • identify and meet ethical responsibilities
